Schema Markup Generator

Generate valid JSON-LD structured data for Article, Product, LocalBusiness and Organization, built live in your browser and ready to copy into your page.

Schema type

Your JSON-LD

Structured data is the markup that tells search engines and AI assistants what a page is about in a format they can read directly: an article, a product, a local business, an organization. This free generator builds valid JSON-LD for the four most common types as you fill in the fields, ready to copy straight into your page. It is built for SEOs, developers and site owners who want correct schema.org markup without hand-writing JSON or memorising each type's shape. Everything runs in your browser, and the output is shown as text to copy, not injected into this page.

How to use it

1

Pick your schema type

Choose Article, Product, LocalBusiness or Organization. The field set swaps to match, so you only see the properties that type needs. Article is prefilled with a realistic example to start from.

2

Fill in the fields

Enter the details you have. Empty fields are simply left out of the output, so a partial set still produces valid markup, and you can add more as you go.

3

Copy and paste the JSON-LD

The markup updates live as you type. When it reads right, press Copy and paste the block into the <head> of the matching page, making sure the data reflects what the page really shows.

Why it's useful

Four types, one clean output

Article, Product, LocalBusiness and Organization each have their own required shape, with nested objects for author, brand, offers and address. The generator wires those correctly for the type you pick, so the result validates without you remembering the structure.

Only the fields you fill

Empty fields are omitted rather than written as blanks, and prices, addresses and social links are nested into the right objects automatically. You get tidy, valid markup whether you fill everything or just the essentials.

Nothing leaves your browser

The JSON-LD is built entirely client-side and shown as text to copy. Your details are never uploaded or stored, and nothing is injected live into this page, so you can draft and test freely.

Getting structured data right across your site

Why structured data matters

Search engines and AI assistants read a page's HTML, but HTML alone is ambiguous: a price, an author and a phone number all look like text. Structured data removes the guesswork by labelling each fact with a schema.org type, so a machine knows that $29 is the product's price, that a line is the publish date, or that an address belongs to a local business. That clarity is what powers richer results and, increasingly, what helps AI assistants quote your page accurately when they answer a question.

JSON-LD is the format Google recommends and the one this tool produces. It sits in a single script in the page's head, separate from your visible HTML, which makes it easy to add, read and maintain. The content it describes, though, must genuinely appear on the page: structured data is a description of real content, never a replacement for it.

The four types and their shapes

Each type has a required structure, and the fields that matter differ. Article wants a headline, an author, a publish date and a publisher, with the author and publisher nested as their own objects. Product wants a name, image and description, with price, currency and availability grouped inside an offers object. LocalBusiness wants a name and a full postal address nested in a PostalAddress object, plus a phone number and hours of business. Organization wants a name, a URL, a logo and the social profiles that confirm the brand's identity, listed in a sameAs array.

Getting the nesting right is where hand-written JSON usually breaks: a price left at the top level instead of inside offers, or an address flattened into one string, will fail validation. This generator places each field in the right object for the type you chose, so the output matches what search engines expect the first time. After you paste it in, run the page through a structured-data validator to confirm it parses cleanly against the live content.

Keep the markup true to the page

Only describe what a visitor can actually see. Marking up a price, a rating or an address that is not on the page, or that differs from what is shown, is against Google's guidelines and can trigger a manual action. The markup should always be a faithful mirror of the visible page, updated whenever the page changes.

From one page to the whole site

Hand-building schema one page at a time is fine for a handful of key pages, and this tool makes that quick and correct. But visibility comes from consistency: the right structured data, on the right content, across every page and every market, kept accurate as things change. That is where Otorank picks up: it researches, writes, publishes and tracks content built to be found and cited across 150+ languages, with structured data handled as part of the page rather than bolted on by hand afterwards.

FAQ

Questions

Which types the tool covers, where the JSON-LD goes, and how to keep your markup within Google's rules.

Four of the most common: Article, Product, LocalBusiness and Organization. Each produces valid JSON-LD with the nested objects that type needs, such as offers for a product's price or a PostalAddress for a local business.

Paste it inside the <head> of the page it describes, in a single script tag. The data must reflect content that genuinely appears on that page.

No. Empty fields are left out of the output, so a partial set still produces valid markup. Fill the fields you have and the generator omits the rest.

Not on its own. Structured data helps search engines and AI assistants understand and sometimes display your page, which can lift visibility and click-through, but it is one signal among many, not a ranking shortcut.

No. The JSON-LD is built entirely in your browser and shown as text to copy. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or injected live into this page.
